Sat. July 22nd, 11:30 am - Summer BBQ/Pool Party at Rosemary and Larry Brester’s home (Hobart/Maple Valley area) - RSVP’s requested

Here are the details for this much-anticipated summer highlight! Chapter members Rosemary and Larry Brester are once again hosting their annual BBQ/Potluck/Pool Party!  They will be barbequing burgers, Mariner dogs, and salmon burgers - with all the fixings, along with baked beans.  They will also provide beer and wine, water and other cold non-alcoholic beverages. Please bring your favorite potluck dish to share.  The festivities get underway at 11:30 am.  Friends and family members are also welcome to join in the fun!  This event is also where the new board members are introduced!

Driving Directions to Brester’s BBQ/Pool Party: 

From Tacoma I-5 Northbound

Take Highway 18 Eastbound

 Take Issaquah/Hobart Exit

 Take Right at Stoplight onto 276th Avenue SE

 Take Left at SE 208th Street (there will be a Fire station on the Corner)

Heading East drive until you come to a row of mail boxes on wooden plank.

Immediately past the mailboxes take right down gravel drive at 28819

Follow the driveway to the front of the house or continue past our garden and park in back.

From Renton take Maple Valley Highway

Drive until you come to a light at 216th Way and Maple Valley Hwy169.

There is a small grocery store and The Maple Valley Grange at the light on your right.

You have gone too far if you crossed over the Cedar River.

Turn left at light and continue east until you come to the caution light at 276th AVE SE.

Turn left and continue until you come to the Hobart Fire Station on your right. You will pass a small baseball field – Johnnie Lazor adjacent to the fire station.

Turn right at the Fire station onto Upper SE 208th Street also called Old Taylor Road.

Heading East drive until you come to a row of mail boxes on a wooden plank on your right.

Immediately past the mailboxes take right through the wooden gate down our gravel drive at 28819.

Our house numbers are in white on our fence.

Follow the driveway to the front of the house or continue straight past our garden and park in back.

 From the North

 Take I-5 to I 90 – follow directions below from I-90.

Take 405 to I-90 – follow directions below from I-90.

From 1-90 East

 Take Exit 17 into Issaquah

Continue through Issaquah on Front Street.

At the last light Front Street turns into the Issaquah/Hobart Road

Continue for about 10 miles

You will pass under Highway 18, at the light the Issaquah/Hobart Road turns into 276th Avenue SE.

Continue South until you come to SE 208th Street, there will be a Fire station on your LEFT

Take a LEFT at the Fire station this will put you on upper SE 208th street heading EAST.

Also known as Old Taylor Road in some GPS systems.

This street is a dead end into the Seattle Watershed.

Continue EAST until you come to a row of mail boxes on a wooden plank immediately past the mail boxes on your RIGHT is a wooded gate, take a Right (28819) through the gates and drive to the front of the house.

I will put balloons out to help guide you in.

Park in front or you can follow the drive way to the back of our house for additional parking.

There is no signage to tell you have arrived.
